Who is Nyabuto Naftal Obwoni?

As the Group CEO of mZawadi Group with over 17 years of multifaceted experience across technology, international development, and academia, I bring a unique blend of strategic insight and ethical foresight to discussions around Artificial Intelligence (AI). My career has been marked by consulting for international bodies like IFAD, EU, UNEP, and USAID, as well as leading transformative projects in Africa, specifically in AI, Blockchain, Fintech, IoT, and CRM. Recognized for pioneering award-winning technologies, including mZawadi loyalty programs, Wakili AI for legal access, and Shoshin Hub, I have focused on innovations that ethically bridge technology with societal impact, especially within AgriTech, ClimateTech, and BlueTech.

A seasoned entrepreneur and author of the best-selling “Spider Web Strategy,” I regularly Help FMCGs in streamlining value chains and developing technologies that have revolutiised route to market. With a background in Computer Science, a Master’s degree, a Postgraduate diploma, and certifications in Project Management, I am currently completing a Doctorate in Management. I basically transform businesses and a firm believer in blue ocean strategy and sustainable strategies based on collaboration and continoues innovation.

Wakili AI bridges the justice gap, streamlining legal processes and enabling informed decision-making with precision and speed. We democratized legal empowerment by also providing chatbot for Kenyans to interact and consult AI on Kenyan laws.

Soko Jumla

SokoJumla is a B2B platform that streamlines the distribution value chain by connecting manufacturers, and retailers. It offers last-mile connectivity effectively transforming route to market ,value chain efficiency and empowering Kiosk and Dukas with autonomy to make informed choices and giving them access to financial services to grow and sustain their businesses.

Shoshin Hub

Inspired by the need to create accessible and affordable technology , Shoshin Hub- is rooted in the concept of “Shoshin”—a beginner’s mind .Our focus was to make technology  affordable and access across African by building  the  first SaaS platform that leverages IoT and AI to empower farmers and communities across Africa with AgriTech, ClimateTech, and BlueTech, technologies .

eZawadi

Inspired into transform gifting in Kenya ,we created a universal voucher platform that eliminates redemption barriers and redefines how Kenyans gift one another and companies gift employees and clients. The platform enables seamless gifting and rewards through digital vouchers that can be redeemed across a vast network of over 20 million globally

Driven inclusion vision,we built  an innovation Haba Haba designed to empower low-income families in Kenya by facilitating incremental savings directly linked to essential services and products. Haba Haba enables small, regular contributions toward goals such as education, agriculture, medical and investments, while earning interest effectively shielding users from price fluctuations and inflation.

Inspired to revolutionize customer loyalty, mZawadi transformed incentive programs across industries, including manufacturing, financial and retail. By building East Africa’s largest AI-driven loyalty platform, we empower businesses to create personalized experiences that drive growth and foster long-lasting relationships.
